We realize that the solution of Slums in India lies in imparting “quality” education that would help slum children getting acquainted to formal education system and realizing the dream to be at par with convent educated children. With this objective, the journey of Eklavya started 3.5 years back. At Eklavya, the focus is on slum children getting basic education for a year or two to be educationally at par with same age group children and then becoming a part of formal education system. Apart from education children are taught high moral values at school, speaking truth, for example, is virtue everyone must follow. No rag picking, personal hygiene, regular attendance, respecting elders and remaining honest in all aspects of life are religiously followed by Eklavya Children.
