About DICCI SME Portal

http://www.diccismeportal.in

DICCI SME Portal has been set up to realize the Dalit Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's vision of bringing micro, small and medium Dalit SMEs from across India and the Central Ministries/Departments/PSUs, non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations on the same platform to do business in modern way.

DICCI SME Portal's Mission is simple:
I. Make it easier for micro, small and medium businesses to be growth oriented, competitive and innovative by connecting them to collaborate with each other, to buyers, to the marketplace and to the need based resources. When you join the DICCI SME Portal, you gain access not only to buyers but also to other entrepreneurs in the community, leads, product catalogues, news, updates, insights and handholding services that contribute to better business growth.

II. Help the Government and non-governmental and not-for-profit organizations to meet the policy objectives set out in the New Public Procurement Policy, Affirmative Action and Corporate Social Responsibility to bridge the critical gap that exists between policy and implementation.

III. For Enterprises looking for businesses from the Government and the big institutional buyers there's going to be "No wrong door".It would feel as if they are interacting with one entity, the Portal, rather than a number of separate, albeit linked, entities. The technology would quickly connect businesses to services and information relevant to them, regardless of which door they go to.

IV. A single window interface to work for the Dalit entrepreneurs. The DICCI SME Portal Story For ever increasing Dalit entrepreneurial ambitions the DICCI SME Portal would work as an aggregator for developing the Dalit MSMEs' capabilities. Today Dalit enterprise may constitute 13.5% - 15% of the total MSME pie in India, they, however, continue to face multiple challenges. These include difficulty in gaining access to financial capital (due to limited collateral asset base), limited social capital (most entrepreneurs being first generation have no support base in the family or the community), lack of enabling information, resistance in accessing the market due to traditional biases against the Dalits and lack of adequate policy support to develop an ecosystem suitable for developing the Dalit entrepreneurship.
