About Askme
http://www.askme.com/ASKME was formally launched in July 2014 as platform for search across local merchants, deals, classified and marketplace. It has already acquired leadership position with billions of annualised searches across 12+ million merchants, millions of new classified ads per month. About 50000 merchant storefronts have been created since launch with 8 lac SKUs (excluding books n movies) available to be bought online. It aims to pivot in 2015 as destination for “trends” across categories such as fashion, food, lifestyle, wellness, travel etc.
Realizing that search has moved beyond content discovery to aggregated opinions, ASKME has launched a globally first massive initiate of engaging opinion leaders in these categories and create video content. Rocky & Mayur, Vikas Khanna, Twinkle Khanna and Vir Sanghvi have been roped in as opinion leaders for video content creation and to drive video content crowdsourcing.
In the communities domain, AskMe has built 7 different verticals - Fashion, Wellness, Travel, Gadgets, Education, Food and Interiors.
