Amsar was founded 50 years ago  by two scientists with Post Graduate degrees in chemistry from England and Doctoral degrees from Switzerland. Both these individuals then began gaining experience at pharmaceutical giants such as Sandoz and Pfizer, reaching senior positions within the R&D/Manufacturing departments of these companies.

With this solid background they founded Amsar at a time when traditional medicine was being swept away by the newly emerging drug industry that was given a mandate to address a recently independent India’s health problems. Saddled with archaic methodologies, an immovable mind-set, lack of validation and standards, Ayurveda and all the other forms of traditional medicine faced a serious threat to their survival. This is where Amsar began to reverse this slide.

Amsar represents a unique blend of traditional knowledge and modern science. Established in 1963, Amsar was India’s first manufacturer of standardized botanical extracts. An award-winning company, Amsar has been at the forefront of the Indian herbal industry for over 5 decades. When Dr. Vikram Naharwar joined the company founded by his grand-father he launched AMSARVEDA a brand aiming to propose finish products (medicine, cosmetic…) using the natural extract manufactured by Amsar.

In the last 30 years under his management, AMSARVEDA have conducted dozens of clinical studies, research and developed high quality health products 100% natural.

Today we are exporting and selling on the indian market a full range of 100% natural ayurvedic skin care, 100% natural ayurvedic hair care products, Natural Ayurvedic Cold Process Soaps and Ayurvedic Health supplements.
