About Amrutdhara Water Services
http://amrutdhara.inAmrutDhara is a movement aimed at reducing the use of bottled water by offering a safe, cost-effective and environment friendly alternative through a social enterprise model while also raising awareness about the issues around bottled water around cost, quality and environmental degradation.
AmrutDhara has at its core a social enterprise that is problem oriented, and is committed to creating socially responsible solutions to provide people with options for buying quality assured drinking water, while tackling the very large problem of waste for plastic bottles.
We have been working on solutions for about a year and pivoted to our current approach in April 2014. Since then things have developed rapidly thanks to the advice and mentoring of organisations such as IIHS and Villgro who have also supported us with some funding for prototyping and product development. We have been running pilots in the field to get to our current product and business model. At the moment, we are on the verge of completing our first prototype, and are looking to grow the team to take us through the next phase of product testing, piloting and growing the business.
