About Aarohan

Aarohan is a not for profit social enterprise, working with government school children and under privileged women, preferably mothers of the kids. Providing after school education for kids and training the mothers in tailoring and embroidery has been the work of Aarohan. Set up in July of 2013, Aarohan has since then provided training for 38 women, majority of those who are mothers of government school children and currently have 40 kids studying at the center. Situated in Shahdara, one of the most deprived slums of Delhi, the organization has been striving to engage kids and their mothers so as to ensure a holistic empowerment of the family.
